Bio

Paul Tavianini is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Association and has been a professional actor for over 30 years, appearing in numerous regional theatres around the country and in film and television.

​He has performed at the Drury Lane Theatre in Chicago; Indiana Repertory Theatre, Phoenix Theatre, and Actors Theatre of Indiana; Huntington, Merrimack and Nora Theatres in Massachusetts; Hippodrome Theatre in Gainesville, FL; Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany, NY; Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, and A Noise Within in his hometown of Los Angeles, CA.

He has appeared on television in Dark Matter, Chicago P.D., Law & Order and the Discovery Channel series Kidnap & Rescue, and in a number of independent films.

Paul was a founding member of the Theatre Asylum in New York City, dedicated to the production of new plays as well as featured plays by classic American authors such as Tennessee Williams, Clifford Odets, William Inge, and Elmer Rice.

 

​Mr. Tavianini has also directed non-professional productions for university and community theatres, and has taught acting, directing and theatre studies at the university level for 10 years, in addition to numerous festival and master class workshops.  He received his M.F.A. in Acting from Brandeis University and studied at the Royal National Theatre Studio in London under the guidance of Ian McKellen, Janet McTeer, Richard Eyre and Michael Joyce.
